Fettuccine Tomato-cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
- - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- - 2 tablespoons butter
- - 1 medium onion
- - 4 cloves of garlic
- - 900 ml of any tomato sauce
- - Salt and pepper to taste
- - Pinch of sugar
- - 1 cup heavy cream
- - Grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
- - Fresh basil, chopped
- - 1 package Fettuccine
Preparation:
- Cook pasta according to package directions.- Drain the water, leaving 1 cup of water from the pasta.
- Melt the butter and olive butter over medium heat
- Chop the onion and garlic finely
- Saute garlic in butter with onions 1 to 2 minutes
- Pour the tomato sauce, add salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar
- Stir and cook on low heat for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and add the cream.
- Add cheese to taste, then check the seasoning.
- Return the fettuccine to the sauce, stir
- Add the basil to pasta and serve immediately.
